Hi blog followers!
I hope everyone rang in the new year comfortably and happily last night! I just wanted to tell each and every single one of you thank you for checking out my blog in 2011. Whether you were brought here by Google, through the WordPress universe, through linkage on other blogs and fan sites, or are a reader simply because you’re one of my homies, I’m so incredibly grateful for all your support by reading my posts and supporting my endeavors.
I saw this blog flourish in ways that I could not have imagined in the last year: The film industry awards season became a comprehensive topic of discussion. You all gave me one of my most-read posts ever with my review of David Cook‘s This Loud Morning. I had the opportunity to exclusively chat with some amazing musicians, Chaska Potter of Raining Jane and Jack Matranga and Brooke White of Jack and White. I saw some of the best films and concerts ever and discovered some great TV shows I adore, and I received so much great general feedback simply by changing the look of my blog!
I hope—and know—that 2012 will bring some wonderful things for both you and me. For starters, we do have an incredible slate of film releases this year: I’m more than ready to see The Hunger Games, The Avengers, and The Dark Knight Rises to name a few! Although I wished 2011 gave me a better feeling of fulfillment (I was hoping that I’d be off to a solid start in the entertainment reporting industry after graduating college last year, but that doesn’t happen overnight, especially in the current state of our economy), writing for this blog and receiving such a positive response truly made me feel accomplished. Whenever I felt down, knowing that you were reading and responding kept me motivated to keep on doing what I love doing the most—writing about the things that make me the happiest.
So thank you from the bottom of my heart for sticking with me. I can’t wait to continue to be inspired by art and artists, and I hope we can continue on that journey together. All my best wishes to all of you for 2012—Dream big, live large, and keep on dancing till the world ends.
